Galería Oliva
An intimate library balancing deep timber, a pale lounge chair and a mineral accent.

The idea and its decisions
Galería Oliva proposes a sheltered room that does not require a large floor area to have character. Shelving defines its background, while seating and light establish a clear, self-contained reading zone.
Alternating books, objects and empty space lets the timber wall read as a composition rather than a storage unit. Lower doors collect what does not need to stay visible. Shelf heights and access would respond to the owner’s everyday use.
The pale chair separates the seated figure from the darker background. A small stone table adds a burgundy accent and an adjustable lamp supports reading. Contrast remains restrained; the intention is depth rather than drama.
This concept could inform a complete library or a corner within an existing living room. Reading light, seating comfort and circulation would be studied before deciding how much furniture the space actually needs.
